Ultherapy uses safe, time-tested ultrasound energy to tighten the skin without surgery or downtime.* Ultherapy is a great alternative for patients who are not ready for surgery, or for patients looking to extend the effects of facelift surgery. Although it won’t duplicate the results of a facelift, Ultherapy treats the deep foundational layer addressed in facelift surgery. Dr Nettle conducted the first clinical trial of this new technology in Australia for lifting, tightening and toning the skin without surgery. With the trial now complete, Silkwood medical can offer a new, proven, non-surgical solution for lax facial skin. This unique combination of ultrasound imagining and ultrasound energy, precisely delivers acoustic sound wave energy deep into the skin resulting in precise skin tightening*

The Procedure

Before your treatment, we will assess your skin to address your concerns and assess whether you are an suitable candidate for Ultherapy. On treatment day, the skin will be cleansed, the treatment area marked up and ultrasound gel applied. Ultrasound energy is delivered to precise depths causing skin contracture. Ultherapy targets skin laxity in the  brows, neck, jawline, lower face and décolletage.

Recovery from Ultherapy

Ultherapy uses sound waves to firm, tighten skin tissue without disturbing the surface of the skin. For this reason there is no downtime with this treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ultherapy is a non-surgical, non-invasive rejuvenation treatment for the face, neck and chest. Ultherapy uses ultrasound and the body’s own natural healing process to lift, tone, and tighten loose skin. The Ulthera device uses ultrasound to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin, including those typically addressed in a surgical facelift, without disturbing the surface of the skin. Ultherapy treatment also stimulates the creation of new collagen, which further helps the skin maintain its youthfulness.
A good candidate for Ultherapy is someone with skin that is losing its elasticity. Typically, those in their thirties and older who have mild to moderate skin laxity are good candidates for this procedure.
Currently the face, neck and chest can be treated with Ultherapy.
The best time to have Ultherapy is when your skin is still relatively firm but the first signs of ageing have started to appear.
A smooth hand piece is placed onto your skin and an image of the tissue beneath is projected onto a screen. This allows your practitioner to “see” where they will treat your skin. The same hand piece is then used to deliver tiny deposits of focused ultrasound energy at just the right depth below the skin. For facial procedures, this is the same foundational layer typically addressed in a surgical facelift. Your skin’s response to this energy is to recondition tired skin by stimulating the growth of fresh, new collagen. The result is a tightening and gradual lifting—or shifting—of the skin back into a more youthful position and form-fitting shape.
From $900.00 depending on the area that needs to be treated.
Depending on your sensitivity to pain, you may find the process moderately uncomfortable. In most cases, when the face and the neck are treated together, Ultherapy will take approximately one hour to complete.
Relaxing medication may be prescribed prior to this procedure.
After your procedure you are able to return to your normal activities right away. Although your skin may appear a bit flushed or puffy immediately after treatment, any redness should disappear in a matter of hours
There is no specific after care necessary with Ultherapy.
The majority of patients only need one treatment; however, some may benefit from more than one treatment depending on how much skin laxity they have and their body’s own biological response to the ultrasound and collagen-building process.

We recommend a yearly maintaince treatment.
