Profractional uses laser energy to stimulate the skins natural healing process and promote the production of new collagen. This helps the skin to plump up and smooth out the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne and post-traumatic scars and clear up age spots and sun damage.*
The Procedure
After a full consultation to discuss your skin concerns, a tailored treatment plan is scheduled. Depending on your desired results, you may require multiple treatments. Profractional Laser can be done 4-6 weeks apart, and can also be combined with other treatments such as MicroLaserPeel for optimum results. On the day of your treatment, photos are taken and a topical anaesthetic is applied to your skin 1 hour before treatment. After cleansing the skin, the laser is passed over the skin then Paw Paw ointment applied.*
Recovery from Profractional
Immediately after the treatment, you will experience redness that will resemble a slight sunburn and there may be minor swelling. Skin is expected to flake a few days post treatment. Downtime will differ from patient to patient, and depends on how deep the Profractional treatment has been performed. Patients should expect anywhere between 5-10 days for full recovery.*
