The Laser Hair Removal Procedure
Intense Pulse Light (IPL) technology such as the elōs® IPL system is based on the same principle as laser, but instead emits a broad spectrum of pulsed light to target the hair follicle. This disables the follicle from growing hair, which means that over several treatments, there is a long-term reduction in the amount of hair in that area. You can achieve satisfactory results after six to eight laser hair removal treatments. However, individual results can vary depending on medical and genetic factors. Light-coloured hair may require more treatments than dark-coloured hair. Unwanted hair growth can be reduced on all body areas including: upper lip, cheeks, chin, neck, breasts, stomach, arms, shoulders, bikini area, legs and back.
Recovery after Laser Hair Removal
After laser hair removal, you may experience short-term side effects such as mild reddening of the skin. You should be able to return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Makeup can be applied to facial treatment areas immediately as long as no skin is broken. After an IPL treatment, it is important to avoid sun exposure.
