Few cosmetic plastic surgeons in Sydney share the same level of training as Dr. Warwick Nettle. He always knew he wanted to be a doctor and when he entered medical school, he realised it was plastic surgery he was most passionate about. His work began with reconstructing congenitally deformed faces, or faces injured in trauma. Yet he was increasingly drawn to facial aesthetic surgery, which is technically demanding and requires great attention to detail. He found this suited his personality and his lifelong interest in artistic endeavours.
Dr. Nettle has gained extensive experience by serving at two of the most respected institutions in the United States: the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Houston and the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York.
Dr. Warwick Nettle specialises in facelift surgery, in which he restores the patient’s beauty and radiance. His skilled hands are matched by his understanding of how to achieve excellent results without excessive surgery.
A fully-qualified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, (not all practising surgeons are fully qualified cosmetic plastic surgeons – "cosmetic" and less qualified surgeons lack the level of training and skill) Dr. Nettle's ultimate aim is to achieve natural-looking and harmonious results for the face, eyes, nose, jowls, neck, and jaw line.
In addition, Dr. Warwick Nettle has contributed to the advancement of plastic surgery by developing innovations in facelift and endoscopic facial surgery. He is currently continuing his research and has published many articles in the areas of eliminating the "facelifted" look, using dermal stimulants as an adjunct to facial rejuvenation surgery, and refining techniques in eyelid surgery. Dr. Benjamin Norris graduated from the Auckland School of Medicine in 1991. He did his postgraduate internship in general surgery at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney in 1995. After training as a general surgeon, he undertook a further five years of training as a plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon.
More recently, Dr. Benjamin Norris was invited to the UK as a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country. Dr. Norris was greatly influenced by the years he spent living, working, and training in Europe. There he observed that many women seek to improve their image through breast and body enhancement. Moreover, they do so in such a way that is noticed by their partners, friends and family, yet doesn't invite unnecessary nor unwanted comment by complete strangers in the street. He is inspired by that uniquely European desire for a more classic elegance and beauty.
Dr. Benjamin Norris returned to Sydney in late 2005. When offered the opportunity to work with Dr. Warwick Nettle at his practice, Dr. Norris was asked to focus on his particular areas of expertise and interest, which include breast augmentation, breast reduction, abdominoplasty, and liposuction, allowing Dr. Nettle to concentrate on his key specialty, facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Benjamin Norris has been inspired by classic European beauty, and his passion is to achieve a look of elegance. He specialises in the creation of beautiful, natural-looking breasts that result in a well-proportioned, harmonious body. Dr. Benjamin Norris also strives to establish close doctor / patient rapport, so each woman can feel comfortable that she will achieve the result she desires.

A registered nurse since 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sonoma State University in California, Marilyn previously worked in the field of reconstructive plastic surgery. Her experience includes five years as an intensive care nurse in a burns unit and two years as a burn liaison nurse. These opportunities gave her nursing career an early focus in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In addition, Marilyn worked as an aesthetic nurse specialist since 1986. She was one of the first nurse injectors in the United States, selected by Collagen Corporation® to work with a San Francisco plastic surgeon. She was also named Australia's advanced technique trainer since 1992, teaching dermal filling techniques to doctors and registered nurses throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Marilyn specialises in cosmetic nonsurgical procedures such as dermal fillers, dermal stimulation, muscle relaxers, light and medium chemical peeling, and microsclerotherapy. Her goal in every treatment is to obtain radiant, natural-looking results. This process begins with a thorough consultation in which all appropriate options – from ongoing maintenance procedures to once-off surgical procedures – are discussed, helping the client decide what options best meet their budget and lifestyle needs.

Dr. Warwick Nettle returned from the United States in 1994 and established a practice under his own name in Spring Street, Bondi Junction. It was a small, boutique practice that focused purely on cosmetic plastic surgery with an emphasis on facial rejuvenation and nose surgery.
In order to build an all-encompassing practice, Dr. Warwick Nettle soon after employed Marilyn Cassetta, a registered nurse and aesthetic nurse specialist, and Jill Adams, a cosmetic tattoo practitioner. The practice grew quickly and in 1998 Dr. Nettle established a larger practice called Face & Body Medical.
In 2002 Face & Body Medical relocated to its current larger and better-equipped offices and surgery at nearby Grafton Street. The non-surgical side of the practice also grew, and this required the addition of paramedical aestheticians and Manual Lymphatic Drainage specialists. This increased the menu of professional services within the practice.
Our practitioners are at the forefront of the latest techniques and are trained in technologies such as Intense Pulsed Light, laser therapies, microdermabrasion, cosmeceuticals, dermal fillers, and other wrinkle treatments.
Dr. Benjamin Norris joined the team at the beginning of 2006. His focus is on surgical procedures such as breast enhancement and liposuction, and this further expansion required the employment of additional paramedical aestheticians.
Today, the practice has been renamed Silkwood Medical and is renowned for its commitment to excellence.
Dr. Warwick Nettle and Dr. Benjamin Norris are skilled cosmetic plastic surgeons who help patients not just in and around Sydney, but across Australia and internationally, enhance their natural beauty through advanced cosmetic treatments.
